Rose gold kit, ET hallmark
It is made up of four soft porcelain plates decorated with green and gold stripes centered with polychrome flower bouquets.
It opens with hinges on five compartments containing a pair of scissors, a ribbon holder, a toothpick or ear, two riveted ivory tablets and a small pencil with a gold tip.
All the elements are gold.
A second hinge at the base allows the two central plates to slide revealing a miniature of a young woman in a blue turban in an oval gold frame on one side, and a rectangular mirror on the other.
inside and lined with its original silk. dimensions: 8 cm X 5cm x1.5 cm Some wear to the mirror.
The miniature is a work of Campana Pio-Ignazio-Vittoriano (1744-1786) Favorite painter of Marie Antoinette to whom he made many portraits.
